I recently got an Email about how to use HTML for blogs. It read:
"I'd thought I'd take you up on your offer about HTML. I'm new to blogging and getting super frustrated when it says my blog can't post due to HTML. I never know what the problem is. Any idea what that means? Do you have any key pointers to a new blogger about HTML?? Thanks so much! Any help is much appreciated!"
This person blogs on Blogger.com so I will use that site as an example.
Remember on your Blog that the title of your blog will become your H1 tag as well as your page title tag. So make sure the title of your blog is something very relevant and important to your topic. This is very important on searches for your blog. If you blog is about pug dogs then you might name it "Jane Doe's Cute Pug Dogs". This will help you get searched better for your name as well as the main subject of the blog "Cute Pug Dogs". You are blogging to share your ideas with others so imagine what others will be searching for to find your valuable information.
When you are creating your blog article the title must be well thought just like the title of your blog page. The code generator makes the title of your article an H3 and you want it to be an H2. So when we are making the code for the article we will make a heading inside the article in an H2 with keywords from the article title. We are going to bold keywords in our paragraph tags and properly code links in the articles.
Steps to creating and coding your blogger articles.
- Log into your account
- Click the "New Post" button
- Make sure the "Edit HTML" tab is active
- Create an article title that has words relevant to your article (very important), and type this into the "Title:" box.
- Place headings of the article in H2 tags and sub headings as H3 tags
- Place all paragraphs inside P tags, and keywords in B tags
- Properly code any
Hyperlinks, Lists, and Images - Check your code for mistakes
- Post your article
- Bask in the glory
Proper Code example of a blog about Pugs:
<h2>Cute Pug Dogs</h2>
<img src="/" title="Cute Pug Dog" alt="Cute Pug Dog" />
<p><b>Pug dogs</b> are the cutest dogs in the world. A pug with a black face and a brown body is known as a fawn. Some pugs are black all over. I once owned a pug that was black with a white spot on its chest.</p>
<h2>Here is a List of Types of Pug Dogs</h2>
<ul>
<li>Fawn Pugs</li>
<li>Black Pugs</li>
</ul>

In the code above I put "Cute Pug Dogs" as the H2 Heading inside the article matching the article title for keywords. The "title" and "alt" of the img tag are full of keywords. Inside the P tags I bolded or used B tags for keywords. Visit some other articles for more on proper coding for
I know this coding works because on my personal blog only two months old with only two articles has a page rank of 1 already.
