Matthew Hager

Lead Developer

Matthew has experience in many fields of web and software development and has worked on enterprise gas pipeline systems, customer relationship management software, and statistical analysis web applications. With proficiency in multiple programming languages such as PHP, SQL (MySQL and MSSQL), Perl, Ruby, C++, ASP .NET (C#, J#, and VB), Java, Flash (ActionScript), JavaScript (Prototype and jQuery) and more, there’s very little you can throw at him that he can’t handle. We invite you to put him to the test.

Daphne Hager

Manager/Web Consultant

Daphne brings an intuitive and sensible perspective to the team. Her specialties include writing, organization, and Web marketing. She keeps the engine of Poetic Systems running smoothly underground so the developers can do their creative thing with ease. She is currently pursuing a BBA in Management at the University of Houston and hopes to further boost her resourcefulness to the company through her education.

Joseph Leon

Creative Developer

Joseph possesses a wide range of graphic design skills fortified with a technical knowledge of back-end development. He graduated with a BS in Computer Graphic Science from Purdue School of Engineering Technology Indianapolis. Joseph is experienced with an array of software and programming languages. He has the ability to integrate multiple technologies and put together impressive solutions for clients.

Greg Rivera

Account Manager

Greg comes from a diverse background of assisting and working with clients to ensure that the line of communication is strong and clear. His goal is to establish a personal relationship with each and every client at Poetic Systems in order to provide the best support possible. He is currently enrolled at Houston Community College and working on his Associates in Arts and is registered to begin a Degree in Communications and Media Arts. Whatever the job may be, Greg will be all eyes and ears on the task at hand.

Melissa Burnham

Graphic Design

Melissa incorporates her fresh design ideas and creative outlook to every project, visualizing 'what could be' into 'what will be', from possibilities to reality. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Advertising and Graphic Design and a Minor in Art History. Melissa is also co-blogger, bringing extra typographical expression to the team. She has proven herself to be a quick and adept study and is always looking to learn more and more.

John Goodman

Creative Developer

John brings a wide variety of creative and developmental fields together to deliver unique solutions to every project. He holds a BFA from Mississippi State University that gave him experience in the fine arts as well as graphic design. His third love is code. John is well versed in PHP, ASP, MySQL, MS Access, JavaScript (Jquery, MooTools), Flash, Actionscript, CSS and more. With a myriad of skills, John can deliver on every project.

Michael Blalock

Marketing Director

Mike has a wealth of hands-on knowledge of the Houston market and experience with over 17 years of publishing the newcomer guides for Clear Lake, Northwest Houston, Texas 288 South, West Houston, Northeast Houston and Fort Bend. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Builder’s Association Sales and Marketing Council, the Houston Relocation Professionals where he served as President in 2007, the Houston Association of Realtors, Women’s Council of Realtors, Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, and numerous local Chambers of Commerce and business groups throughout the Greater Houston area.
